President’s Update

 A Personal Note from President Jim Foley

Dear Friends,

Regina’s dream started big, but she was willing to think small too. Before she arrived at Cristo Rey Columbus High School, she was interested in international government and public policy. After working in City Hall through our work-study program, however, she became interested in local government as well. It even inspired her to run for student council!

Now a senior, Regina has:
     Worked in Mayor Andrew Ginther’s office and with the Women’s Commission;
     Worked in Governor Mike DeWine’s office;
     Run for and won positions on Cristo Rey’s student council two years in a row; and
     Started Cristo Rey’s first Model United Nations Club.

Cristo Rey’s combination of a college-prep education with our unique professional work-study program made Regina’s academic, professional and extracurricular achievements possible. She will use the knowledge, skills and mentoring relationships she’s gained throughout her life. And now, she’s dreaming big again: someday, she’d like to work for the United Nations.

Thank you for your support in preparing our students to excel in college, in career, and in character.

Jim Foley
